"Natural Ambiance" (diptych) 36''x18'' each
Acrylic/Graphite on canvas
I just finished up this new set of autumn inspired paintings. A little halloween feel, maybe? I didn't do that on purpose. Really.
Available at Mirada Fine Art
oh, at first I thought this was one big painting... I really like them, the colors are so warm and inviting, the composition is fantasticd... you do wonderful work.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Deb.
ReplyDeleteI spent more time on these two than some of my larger ones.
Definitely time well spent. When you paint something like this, do you design it ahead of time, or does it form as you work?
ReplyDeleteThey just evolve as I work on them. I kind of "sketch" with the darks, then build around that. Sometimes covering areas to leave bits exposed.
ReplyDeleteThank you, sometimes I know exactly what I am going to be before I start, other times, I just let it happen as I work... I just wondered if it was the same for other artists.
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog and am now a follower. I'm a sucker for good art... and it's even better in my book if it involves texture! Beautiful paintings! I'll be back for more inspiration...
