Art Weekend in Guthrie, OK

I'm back from a beautiful Oklahoma fall weekend art event in the historic town of Guthrie, OK. It was great meeting new friends and artists as well as enjoying the cooler weather. Much welcomed after some triple digit temps here recently.

Thank you to the friendly and helpful staff of Guthrie Escape and for providing the "big tents" for us so we didn't have to set up our own. If you ever get a chance to visit this town, it will charm you with all of it's history and victorian buildings. Guthrie was actually the first Capitol of Oklahoma before it was moved to Oklahoma City. It is also famous for the many bed and breakfast inns it contains.

  1. Mark,
We can't wait to get back to Texas to mount your painting, "Vertical Horizon", on our sun room wall. It was nice meeting you and seeing your work in Guthrie on Sunday. Your work is certainly unique, particularly in your use of muted tones and geometric spaces. We are going to enjoy this piece.
