The more I studied what was actually a very spontaneous and gestural mark on this piece, the more it appeared as a dancing figure. This one makes you stop and think for a moment.

I returned to the warm and earthy tones for this piece, which I felt had a layered rock feel to it. There is a touch of purple that gives just a hint of cool.

I chose this title because I painted this piece in three sittings and also for the three main elements or focal points. The piece seems to dance as well.
